Behavioral Health Services
Licensed Residential
ColumbiaCare specializes in developing and operating Licensed Residential Programs which provide a combination of housing and treatment services to adults diagnosed with a qualifying mental illness. They are staffed with an awake team of professionals 24 hours, 7 days a week, are licensed by the Oregon Health Authority, and governed by Oregon Administrative Rule. Residential treatment is a state-wide system and ColumbiaCare does not accept direct public referrals. Individuals seeking treatment should contact their local community mental health program.
Supportive Housing
ColumbiaCare offers a continuum of Supportive Housing programs. All are unlicensed, affordable residential settings that offer varying levels of staff and/or programming, or may be permanent or transitional, based upon the specific program. Some Supportive Housing programs are fully integrated (independent). Our Rental Assistance Programming staff provide housing case management service that help connect individuals to third-party housing units, barrier removal, and ongoing skills training to help with housing success. Those seeking housing support should visit our Supportive Housing webpage and call or email the contact listed.
Licensed Residential Crisis
ColumbiaCare crisis programs are short-term (typically 5-8 day stays) community-based, licensed facilities serving adults experiencing a mental health crisis. They are an important link in the continuum of care as they serve as a less restrictive and more clinically appropriate treatment option for persons who do not need the medical capabilities of an acute care hospital. ColumbiaCare does not accept direct public referrals. We welcome those seeking more information or support to visit our Crisis Programs page, contact their local crisis team, behavioral health provider, or Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) (you can call the number on your OHP card) for access and eligibility information. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or dial 911.
Southern Oregon Outpatient
ColumbiaCare has two outpatient service clinics in Southern Oregon which provide a variety of service appointments, including individual and group therapy, case management, skills training, substance use disorder treatment and support, medication management, supported employment + education, intensive case management, and more. Our Outpatient Program can serve as a point of connection to other behavioral health services in the community. Those seeking services at our Southern Oregon Outpatient Program should visit our webpage or call 541.200.2900. If you are seeking services in counties other than Jackson, contact your local Community Mental Health Program or CCO.
Peer Services
Peer Support is a way of providing support from a perspective of shared experience. Shared experience can take many forms, including lived experience with mental health challenges. Peer Support at ColumbiaCare is provided in a variety of settings- including our residential programs, outpatient programs, Rental Assistance Programs, Supportive Housing, and veterans programs. Many of our peer services work collaboratively alongside our clinical services to provide support.
