More about Dr. McConahay...

We have now launched ColumbiaCare's Senior and Disabled Outreach Program, an expansion of our suicide prevention and outreach services.  Through a combination of community workshops, ASIST trainings, and home visits.  Our Outreach Specialist serves to help individuals and their caregivers identify potential signs of depression, alcohol and drug abuse, and suicide--the program acts to both reduce a person's risk factors and increase their protective factors. It is designed to help recipients realize their personal self-worth, feel they are loved and respected, and understand that there are alternatives to suicide.

In addition to offering Response, ASIST, and ColumbiaCare's Senior and Disabled Outreach Program, we provide:

  • Consultation regarding training development and curricula design services for a variety of clients.
  • Development and operation of Crisis Resolution Centers, a less costly alternative to acute hospitalization.
  • Suicide screening in primary care settings.

For any other inquiries, please contact Dr. Gary McConahay at gmcconahay@columbiacare.org.
